Our Stories

The Street Shelter initiative was founded in early 2020 by a team of five students for their Shark Tank Project.

These are their stories.

Noah Verney

I was born in a ditch. I lived in a rundown house and I had no friends except for my bottle cap stick figure. I aim to change the lives of other people.

Ollie Weguelin

As a staunch anti-capitalist, I seek to resolve the issues caused by the upper class that result in the stripping of adequate shelter from our working class, which takes away their lives and allows the upper class to grow their wealth. I am a firm believer in the concept of mutual aid, and feel compelled to help all in need.

Om Sharma

Om is a person who thought homelessness was maybe a bad thing, and that maybe it would good if, like, people weren't homeless. Thus began his long partnership with Street Shelters in an attempt to do something about the problems faced by many.
